What Do We Believe?

About God

We believe in the God of the Bible. God created the world and all that is in it (Gen. 1&2). We separated ourselves from Him when we chose to disobey His will (Gen. 3). Now the only path to know Him again is found in Jesus (John 14:6 & Acts 4:12). God reveals himself to us in the Bible as God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19-20). Although the word “Trinity” is not found in the scriptures, the revelation of God to us in three ways helps define our understanding.

About Salvation

We believe in the work of Jesus. Jesus, God revealed in human form (Phil. 2:6-7, Hebrews 1:3, Rev. 5:6), paid the price for all the sins of all humanity for all time on the cross. Salvation is found only in knowing, confessing and following Him (1 Peter 3:18, Rom. 5:6-8, John 3:16, John 19:30, Hebrews 10:12, and many more). The New Testament clearly teaches that those who desire to follow Jesus will be obedient to Him by being baptized (Mark 1:9 and 1 Peter 2:21, Matt 28:19-20, Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21) and will then live a life directed and empowered by God’s Holy Spirit (John 4:23, Romans 8:14, Gal. 5:18 & 25, Philippians 3:3 and many more). Our desire is to follow the biblical model for both salvation and life.

About The Bible

We Believe the Bible is the inspired word of God without error. It was given to us to know God, understand our sin, to remind us of our need for salvation which comes through Jesus alone, and instruct us on how we can follow and live for Jesus. We believe God’s Holy Word should be at the center of our personal and church lives. It is our rule for faith and practice through which all things are examined and understood.

About the Church

We believe that all believers are part of "the Church." We’re a “Non-Denominational” church, which simply means we take the Holy Bible as it is. We don’t believe the Church should have separations and factions. The church is all of the people who have professed Jesus as Lord and follow Him.

WELCOME TO CROSSROADS

I want to just take a minute to welcome you to our website. Maybe this is the first time you're checking us out. Maybe you've heard someone talking about us, and you wanted to learn a little more. Whatever the reason you've found your way to us, we're grateful you're here.

We are a church filled with people like yourself -- people trying to figure it all out.

If you're looking for a community filled with people who have all the answers, I'm afraid we might disappoint you.

But if you're looking for a spiritual home, a place you can feel safe and cared for, where you can be a little vulnerable while you figure things out, where you can serve while still feeling like you need served, then we might be a good fit.

Whatever you decide, I hope you'll keep seeking, and I pray that Jesus will meet you wherever you are and bring you peace.
