At Crossroads Christian Church we are committed to taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world. Whether it is sending out teams or partnering with strategic ministries who share our commitment, our desire is for the gospel be taken to the nations. If you share this passion, then we invite you to join us. The following are the missions we currently support.
-Shepherd’s Gate Ministry (SGM) SE Asia
SGM has worked with and supports several pastors and missionaries in the nations of China, Vietnam, and Thailand. Crossroads and SGM currently work together in supporting House of Grace in Mowah Village, Thailand. House of Grace is a student center which allows Karen students to finish their secondary education. Because these students live in the mountains far from any high school, House of Grace allows them to be educated and discipled in Biblical principles. SGM has partnered with several churches and missionaries in Thailand and SE Asia in taking the gospel to the nations of this region.
-Heaven on Earth
Heaven on Earth is a non-profit ministry in Kenya, Africa. This ministry supports a school, an orphanage, a church and numerous outreaches around Homa Bay near Lake Victoria. It also feeds many in this extremely impoverished area.
-Word for the World
Ken and Sue Sawka currently serve in Zambia, Africa where they assist in translating the Bible into various languages that do not have the Bible.
Mike and Tabi Boyce are missionaries to Chile. They work in Santiago in education, using the media, internet, and one on one sharing the gospel to the local people.

-Voice of the Martyrs (VOM)
VOM is committed to supporting, encouraging, and equipping the church where she is being persecuted. As part of the Body of Christ, we are commanded to identify with and support our Brothers and Sisters who are undergoing persecution or imprisoned for their faith.
–Forward Edge International
Crossroads works with Forward Edge on a national level with providing disaster relief to areas hit by natural disaster. We believe Jesus not only cared for the spiritual man, but also the physical. Therefore we want to help bring relief by sending short-term teams to areas in need. Most recently we have sent a team to the mountains of West Virginia that was hit by flooding in 2016. Along with our work on a national and international level, Crossroads believes the church should be reaching out in our local community. Several of our members are active in Bible Clubs in our local middle school as well as well as conducting a mentoring program in our local high school. We also partner with several other local ministries in reaching our community.
Each month Crossroads sets aside a funds that we can send to victims of natural disasters or used to send teams of volunteers to aid in the cleanup of these disasters.
Under the direction of Ashley Steel, Urban Mission reaches out to those in need. It is a blessing to be able to partner with Urban Mission in helping to provide warm meals, clothing, and a warm bed to those in need.
–Aim Women’s Center
Helps give love and education to pregnant women who might otherwise seek an abortion. Using medical technology such as sonograms and sharing the love of Christ we are able to help give these women another alternative other than abortion.
–Jefferson County Christian School
Provides a Christian education to students K – 12 grades.
The Friendship Room is a food distribution center for those in crisis or extreme poverty in Jefferson Co. Ohio, primarily in downtown Steubenville, Ohio.
-Group Missions Trips
Each year we support Group Missions Trips in different ways. Even years we send teams to various locations to help repair homes for those who are elderly or live in poverty. Odd years we bring hundreds of kids from all over the country and host a mission trip to serve our community.
We feel that it is imperative that men and women called to ministry can follow that call. We assist students who are involved in pursuing a ministry degree with tuition.
Each month we set aside a small amount to assist local families who are in need. These funds are distributed by a team who interviews applicants and uses this opportunity to meet needs and present the Gospel. If you need assistance contact the church for a Benevolence form.
We support Elkhorn Valley Christian Camp by giving our kids scholarships to camp and providing Elkhorn with an offering annually.
